Full-time Physical Therapist in Portland, Oregon
We are seeking a Physical Therapist who will be responsible in improving the physical and emotional well-being of our patients in an Assisted Living Facility. Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 per year + benefits (Full-Time)
Job Duties:
- Evaluate Patients: Perform comprehensive physical therapy assessments to evaluate patients' mobility, strength, and functional limitations. Develop tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
- Provide Personalized Care: Implement effective physical therapy treatments using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and other rehabilitation techniques.
- Monitor and Adjust Care Plans: Regularly track patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
- Promote Wellness: Educate residents and their families on the importance of staying active, proper body mechanics, and home exercises to prevent falls and injuries.
- Collaborate: Work alongside other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists, to develop holistic care plans for residents.
- Document Progress: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of treatments, patient progress, and outcomes, adhering to regulatory standards.
- Provide Family Support: Communicate with families to provide updates on patient progress and guide them on how to support their loved ones' recovery at home.
- Ensure Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents by following safety protocols and ensuring that physical therapy areas are properly equipped and maintained.
- Manage a caseload of 7 patients per day, enabling the ability to provide quality care to each individual.
Requirements:
- Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Oregon.
- Master/ Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in outpatient care or a rehabilitation setting is preferred, but not required.
