Now Hiring: Physical Therapist (PT) – Washington

Location: Federal Way, Washington

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 + benefits


Position Overview:

We are seeking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in an assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatrics, an understanding of the unique challenges faced by older adults, and a dedication to improving the quality of life for our residents.

Job Duties:

  • Perform physical therapy assessments and evaluations on residents as per the care plan.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and resident needs.
  • Implement physical therapy interventions to help residents regain mobility, strength, and independence.
  • Monitored and documented patient progress and adjusted treatment plans accordingly.
  • Work closely with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Educate residents and their families on exercises, adaptive techniques, and home modifications to improve overall function and safety.
  • Participate in care team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Washington.
  • Previous experience in assisted living, geriatric care, or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and progress.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for residents.
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Geriatric Physical Therapy or experience working with elderly populations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
