Licensed Physical Therapist – Urgent Hiring!
Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia – Assisted Living Facility
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
As part of our comprehensive wellness program, we are seeking an experienced Licensed Physical Therapist to join our in-house rehabilitation team.
As a Licensed Physical Therapist (PT), you will play a critical role in improving and maintaining the mobility, function, and quality of life for our senior residents. You will provide personalized therapy services designed to help residents achieve their highest possible level of independence, prevent falls, and manage pain and chronic conditions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment where your clinical expertise makes a direct and lasting impact.
Job Requirements:
- Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia (required)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or equivalent)
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Strong understanding of geriatric care and age-related physical conditions
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping older adults achieve wellness and independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals
- Deliver therapeutic interventions to restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent physical disabilities
- Educate residents, families, and staff on exercises, mobility strategies, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with nursing, occupational therapy, and caregiving teams for coordinated care
- Document resident progress, clinical notes, and billing information accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
