Now Hiring: Licensed Physical Therapist (Full-Time) – Virginia
Location: Woodbridge, Virginia
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)
Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 + benefits
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist to join our in-house therapy team and contribute to our residents' recovery and mobility goals. The Physical Therapist (PT) will evaluate and treat residents with various physical impairments due to illness, injury, or age-related conditions. This role is essential in helping residents regain strength, improve balance and mobility, and achieve their highest level of independence in a post-acute rehab environment.
Work Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility
Patient Volume: 1-2 Patients per hour
Essential Functions:
- Perform physical therapy evaluations and reassessments based on physician orders and clinical judgment
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans that address resident-specific goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for pain management, strength training, balance, and gait
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, daily notes, and discharge summaries accurately and promptly in EMR
- Educate residents, family members, and staff on safety, mobility strategies, and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, occupational and speech therapists
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies
What you will need:
- Valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT, MSPT, or equivalent)
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to work effectively with geriatric populations and individuals with complex medical needs
- 1+ year experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute care setting
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Rehab Optima, NetHealth, or PointClickCare)
- Experience with Medicare documentation and PDPM requirements
- Knowledge of fall prevention, wound care mobility, or post-surgical rehab protocols
