Job Title: Physical Therapist – Assisted Living Facility (Full-Time)

Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 per year

Location: Fort Lee, New Jersey

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

We're seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist with a passion for patient-centered care and a heart for working with the aging population. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to build meaningful relationships and transform lives one step, one stretch, one success at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive physical assessments to develop personalized therapy plans.
  • Create and implement progressive therapy programs to address mobility, pain, balance, and functional limitations.
  • Provide hands-on treatments, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and fall prevention strategies.
  • Help residents safely regain and maintain autonomy in daily activities within the assisted living setting.
  • Educate residents, families, and facility staff on exercises, care strategies, and wellness techniques.
  • Maintain detailed records that meet healthcare standards and support continuity of care.
  • Partner with nurses, caregivers, and other therapy staff to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and report any changes in the patient's condition to the physician and family.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey Physical Therapist license (required)
  • Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • At least 1 year of PT experience; experience with geriatric or assisted living populations strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical knowledge, empathetic communication, adaptability, and teamwork
  • CPR and First Aid certified (preferred). Additional certifications in geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation (a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required for travel to patients’ homes).
