Staff Physical Therapist Needed in Fort Collins, Colorado

As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients, collaborating with families, physicians, and other healthcare team members, and maintaining accurate documentation of services in medical records. You’ll also lead in-services and training sessions for facility staff on an ongoing basis to ensure high standards of care.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Tuesday to Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Salary: $75,000 – $92,000 (New grads capped at $80,000)

Essential Duties:

  • Provide care to 9-12 patients daily, creating tailored treatment plans.
  • Develop effective treatment plans and obtain approval for services from the referring physician.
  • Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in delivering patient care and ensuring all activities are in compliance with the state practice act.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and health team members on patient progress, challenges, and treatment plans.
  • Document treatment changes in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Assess patient needs and recommend appropriate durable medical equipment to enhance mobility and independence (e.g., braces, walkers, canes, elevated toilet seats, grab bars).
  • Report any issues with department equipment to ensure it remains in optimal working condition.
  • Foster a positive, effective, and professional rapport with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Physical Therapist license (or eligibility) in Colorado.
  • A strong collaborative mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Familiarity with WebPT EMR system is an asset.
