Responsibilities: As a Physical Therapist (PT) in Home Care, you will:

  • Evaluate and treat patients recovering from injury, disease, or surgery in a home care environment.
  • Establish treatment plans and use various methods, including exercise, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment, to alleviate patients' pain and enhance their mobility.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve therapeutic goals and perform at their maximum potential.
  • Track and document treatments, responses, and progress.
  • Reevaluate and redefine therapeutic goals, developing new treatment plans as necessary.
  • Recommend and fit patients for assistive devices for self-care and ambulation if required.
  • Provide training for patients, caregivers, families, and other health team personnel on using assistive modalities and appropriate physical therapy procedures.
  • Stay current with professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviews of professional publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in word processing and computer skills
  • State License in Physical Therapy
  • Highly flexible and agile
  • Prior work experience not required

Salary:

  • $100,000 - $120,000 per year plus full benefits.
