Full-time Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) needed
A Registered Physical Therapist understands and adheres to established policies and procedures. Provides physician-prescribed physical therapy. Improves or minimizes residual physical disabilities of the patient. Returns the individual to optimum and productive level within the patient’s capabilities.

Schedule: Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Provides appropriate documentation of each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and care of all equipment and apparatus.
  • Responsible for the economical use of supplies, linens and utilities; as well as, maintaining the order and cleanliness of the department.
  • Provides appropriate billing of each patient visit in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Assists in on-the-job training of all ancillary personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Interprets plans and supervises patient treatments in accordance with the physician referral, ensuring the care, safety and well being of the patient.
  • Reviews and evaluates the patient's response or lack thereof to treatment.
  • Makes recommendations to the physician relative to the need to continue or discontinue physical therapy treatment.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy, BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (2003 or later must have MSPT or DPT)
  • Field supervision: Effectively delegates and supervises delegated care, e.g., care provided by the home health aide and the physical therapy assistants
  • Functions with a high degree of independence
  • Ability to delegate tasks to appropriate personnel as indicated by skill level and professional standing
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Current Physical Therapy License in State of Practice
  • Valid Driver’s License and current car insurance
  • CPR certified
  • Minimum of one-year relevant clinical physical therapy experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
