Full-time Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) needed.
When working with individuals who have limitations due to physical injury or illness, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, developmental or learning disabilities, or unfavorable environmental conditions, physical therapists must consciously practice activities or interventions that maximize independence and maintain health.

Schedule: Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Complete evaluations and treatments of assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and practice, including selecting assessment tools, tests and measures, goal setting, etc.
  • Accurately performs documentation on each evaluation and treatment session within the electronic medical record and accurately documents billing charges.
  • Performs screenings for appropriate patients (May include Lymphedema, fall risks, need for rehab)
  • Evaluates, plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of physical therapy.
  • Restores and maintains function, improves mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or limits permanent disabilities.
  • Provides care for inpatient and/or outpatient caseload. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team regarding the needs of the patient.
  • Opportunities to contribute to presentations, publications, supervision of students/interns and execution of departmental education efforts, etc. which will contribute to advancement in a clinical ladder.

Qualifications:

  • One or more years of Clinical experience in an acute care hospital
  • Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Ability to work with pediatric patients
  • Familiarity with hospital medicine practices
  • Comfortable working in both clinic and hospital environments
  • Competence in providing inpatient care
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • FL PT License
