Full-time Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) needed.
Helping patients restore their mobility and enhance their quality of life will be greatly important to you as a physical therapist. Giving patients the best care possible will depend on your proficiency with anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
Schedule: Full time
Responsibilities:
- Implements treatment plan through direct treatment, education of treatment staff, and supervision of physical therapy staff
- Assumes responsibility for continued professional growth and development by participating in continuing education programs and other appropriate learning experiences
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient, facility, and physician-related information
- Maintains accurate billing information, in accordance with procedures, on a daily basis
- Attends and participates in interdisciplinary meetings, as appropriate, to relay clinical findings and recommendations to other members of the rehab team
- Attends and participates in family meetings, as appropriate
- Adheres to documentation requirements of the Rehabilitation department and the facility
- Conducts staff training/education, as appropriate, via formal and informal in-services and consultations
- Reviews and follows the policies and procedures outlined by the facility and Rehab Policy and Procedure Manual
- Supervises Physical Therapy Assistants and rehabilitation aides/extenders as indicated by patient needs and state laws and discipline practice act
- Supervises non-professional staff, as appropriate
- Assumes responsibility for the screening, evaluation, and treatment of facility patients/residents needing Physical Therapy services
- Reviews medical information and conducts screenings prior to evaluations to determine patient need for services and ability to benefit from skilled services
- Performs patient’s evaluations under physician order and develops a treatment plan in accordance with patient’s needs
Qualifications:
- Current Florida Driver’s License, registration, and auto insurance.
- Current CPR, physical and PPD
- Preferred experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
- Current Florida State License as a Physical Therapist.
