Job Summary:
Seeking a Physical Therapist with strong background and clinical expertise in Orthopaedic rehabilitation with varying patient demographics from adolescents to geriatrics. Primary functions are to provide applicable physical therapy care for patients with various diagnoses in a fast paced outpatient setting. Major duties include: patient evaluation and treatment, electronic medical record documentation, maintain expected productivity levels (including special assignments), special projects and duties as assigned. The primary function is patient care, unless otherwise specified. This candidate will be responsible for working with a physical therapist assistant and delegating patient caseloads as appropriate.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 a year

Schedule: 9AM - 5PM Monday to Friday

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates patients and interprets evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction. Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals.
  • Initiates discharge planning from physical therapy. Implements the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient, may delegate a portion of the treatment plan to appropriate supportive personnel, and coordination of the treatment plan with other health care personnel as appropriate. Provides advice and education to patient and family. Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of patient towards goals, and the need for modifying goals and treatment.
  • Discharges patient from physical therapy when the patient has received maximum benefit from physical therapy. Provides accurate, timely documentation of physical therapy patient management. Demonstrates progress toward meeting the criteria for professional practice.
  • Gotham Enterprises LTD conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.

Requirements:

  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to develop effective treatment plans.
  • A compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a strong commitment to improving patients' quality of life.
  • The ability to work well in a team, as well as independently when necessary.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to assist patients with physical exercises and movements.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and technology for patient documentation and communication.
