Full-time Physical Therapist in Tallahassee, Florida

Job Description:

Join our established practice in Henderson, Nevada. Join us in using exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patient pain, help them increase their mobility, prevent further pain or injury, and promote health and wellness. You will also educate patients and their families about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 per year + benefits

Patient Volume: 1-2 patients per hour

Job Duties:

• Observe patients' movements and behavior to identify clues about their needs
• Create individualized patient treatment plans
• Teach patients how to use therapeutic exercise techniques properly
• Provide stimulation or massage to promote healing
• Assist patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers
• Maintain patient records and keeping track of goals and progress
• Advise patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises
• Diagnosing movement dysfunction and developing a treatment plan

Requirements:

• Active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent
• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred
• Effective communication
• Careful observation
• Ability to manage patients with different personalities
• Knowledge of treatment practices
