Physical Therapist (PT) – Orthopedic Outpatient

Position: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Paterson, New Jersey

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $110,000 to $120,000 + benefits

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient orthopedic practice in New Jersey. In this role, you will work with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical procedures, and chronic orthopedic conditions. Your expertise will help patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical impairments and functional limitations.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
  • Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation) to promote recovery.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention strategies and home exercise programs.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary modifications to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with orthopedic specialists, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging techniques in physical therapy.

Requirements:

  • Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from an accredited program.
  • 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred (new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are welcome to apply).
  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.
  • Strong communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
