Physical Therapist (PT) – Outpatient Orthopedics

Location: Coos Bay, Oregon| Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Outpatient (Monday–Friday, 9 AM- 5 PM)

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 per year + benefits

We are currently looking for a skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving the lives of our patients.

As a Physical Therapist in our outpatient orthopedic setting, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatments to patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role is perfect for a dedicated PT who wants to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Job Duties:

  • Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical conditions, including assessments of strength, range of motion, mobility, and functional limitations.
  • Treatment Plans: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practice to help patients improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Administer various manual therapy techniques, exercise programs, modalities (such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation), and other interventions to address orthopedic conditions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on self-care strategies, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and ergonomics to support long-term recovery and prevent re-injury.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes, by clinic policies and state regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment goals and expectations.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in continuous education, peer reviews, and professional development to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the overall improvement of clinic processes.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Licensing & Certification: Valid and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Oregon (or ability to obtain). CPR/BLS certification required.
    Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy preferred. New graduates with a strong desire to specialize in orthopedics will be considered.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in musculoskeletal and orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Ability to develop personalized treatment plans that promote patient recovery and well-being.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education and collaboration.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, patient-centered environment with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of current physical therapy techniques, equipment, and treatment modalities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
