Pediatric Outpatient Physical Therapy

Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday through Friday 9-5. You may also work four 10-hour shifts
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience
You will see 1-2 patients per hour
Two years of experience is preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply!
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and needs
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including trigger point therapy, to address pain and mobility issues
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and home care strategies
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and medical terminology in compliance with clinic standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients in outpatient settings
- Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements:
- A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Valid NY license as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and physical therapy techniques
- Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus
- Familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation practices is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patient's families and guardians and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with empathy and professionalism
