Physician Assistant Position: Liver Transplant Department in Riverwood Surgical Precision Clinic.


Overview:


Step into a crucial role within our Liver Transplant Department, merging inpatient and outpatient care, inclusive of OR involvement. Collaborate with a dedicated team to uphold our commitment to superior patient care.


Role:


As a Physician Assistant specializing in Surgical Liver/Abdominal Transplants, you'll integrate seamlessly into our team-centric approach, working alongside attending physicians, fellows, and a spectrum of healthcare experts.


Responsibilities:


- Guide pre- and post-operative liver and abdominal transplant patient care, serving as the primary liaison for pre-transplant and readmitted cases.

- Execute thorough patient evaluations, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments.

- Prescribe and administer medications as warranted.

- Streamline inpatient and outpatient transitions with meticulous discharge planning.

- Engage actively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and flow.


Schedule:


- Work Hours: 5-day week, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

- On-call: Rotational commitments.


Additional Duties:


- Address acute and chronic concerns specific to the specialty domain.

- Direct diagnostic studies, encompassing routine labs and therapeutic evaluations.

- Oversee hospital admissions and discharges, ensuring protocol adherence.

- Engage in quality enhancement projects and patient education.


Credentials:


- Bachelor’s degree or advanced qualification from an accredited institution.

- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

- Active PA State Licensure, BLS certification, and current DEA registration.
