About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and home care environments.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories for patients.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Perform procedures such as catheterization, suturing, and administering injections.
- Assist in emergency situations, including ER protocols and critical care interventions.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Document patient encounters accurately using appropriate coding practices for billing purposes.
Qualifications:
- Active Physician Assistant license in New York
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Board certification by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in an outpatient or primary care setting preferred (new graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply)
- Proficiency in patient evaluation, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation
