Location: Owyhee, Nevada
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year + benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient clinic. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and high-quality care. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including prescribing medications, ordering lab tests, and referring to specialists when necessary.
- Provide preventive healthcare services, including immunizations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied healthcare providers to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-ups in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, medication adherence, and self-care strategies.
- Stay current with medical advancements and best practices to provide the highest level of care.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Nevada PA license.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
- DEA license with prescriptive authority.
- Experience in outpatient primary care, internal medicine, or chronic disease management preferred.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and accurate medical documentation.
- Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Ability to provide empathetic, patient-centered care with a focus on wellness and prevention.
