Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Walnut Creek, California
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 per year + benefits

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to work alongside our team of physicians and healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to patients. As a PA, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patient conditions across a wide range of medical specialties. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, with the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and treat common illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions, under the supervision of a physician. Manage patient care, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Prescribing Medications & Therapies: Prescribe medications, order lab tests, and develop care plans based on evidence-based practices. Ensure that prescriptions are appropriately managed and monitored.
- Collaboration & Consultation: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to provide coordinated care and contribute to the development of patient care strategies.
- Patient Education & Counseling: Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care, ensuring they understand their health and feel empowered to manage it.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and any other relevant clinical information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Follow-up Care: Provide follow-up care, ensuring continuity of care for patients with chronic conditions or those recovering from procedures. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current, active Physician Assistant license in the state of California
- NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a similar setting; however, new graduates are welcome to apply if they have completed a clinical rotation in an appropriate specialty
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in patient care
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required. Additional specialty certifications are a plus
