Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care: Perform thorough physical exams, assess medical histories, and order necessary tests. Provide care for a wide variety of conditions, including both acute and chronic illnesses.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Diagnose and treat common medical conditions, prescribe medications, and follow up with patients to monitor progress.
- Collaboration: Partner with physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to ensure a comprehensive care plan for patients.
- Health Education: Offer patient education on preventive care, lifestyle changes, and managing chronic conditions.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions.
- Patient Advocacy: Provide compassionate, patient-centered care, ensuring patients are informed and feel comfortable with their treatment options.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active Physician Assistant license in California
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Previous clinical experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to diagnose and treat patients.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
