Physical Therapist Assistant– Full-Time Opportunity in Freeport, New York

We are currently looking for a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team of professionals in providing exceptional orthopedic rehabilitation services.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in the delivery of physical therapy services to patients. Your role will involve implementing individualized therapy programs, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care possible.

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 per year + benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home care programs, and injury prevention techniques.
  • Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program.
  • Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in New York.
  • Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques, modalities, and treatments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
