Full-time Dermatology Physician Assistants Needed at Skin Rejuvenation Specialists in El Paso, TX

Skin Rejuvenation Specialists is seeking highly motivated and compassionate Dermatology Physician Assistants to join our boutique dermatology practice. You will be working side-by-side with a board-certified dermatologist in providing medical dermatologic care to our patients.

Your primary role will be focused on providing exceptional care to patients with various dermatological conditions, including diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with medical dermatology needs.

Schedule:

  • Anticipated schedule: 3-4 days a week.
  • All weekends and holidays are off.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and review of symptoms, to accurately diagnose dermatological conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their specific needs and medical status.
  • Perform various dermatological procedures, such as bacterial/viral/fungal cultures, biopsies (shave, punch, excisional), complete skin exams, cryosurgery, dermoscopy, electrodesiccation and curettage, I&D, intralesional, and intramuscular injections, as well as Wood's lamp evaluation.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients on preventive care, health promotion, and disease management related to dermatological conditions.
  • Collaborate with the supervising board-certified dermatologist and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation using electronic medical record systems, ensuring compliance with coding and billing requirements.
  • Monitor patient's response to treatment and suggest modifications to treatment plans based on their progress, safety, and comfort.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and educational sessions to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical dermatology.
  • Demonstrate outstanding people skills, a warm and friendly manner, and genuine compassion for patients, especially those who are less fortunate or lack medical literacy.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, efficiently evaluating patients with an anticipated volume of 20-30+ patients per day.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Continuously pursue professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in medical dermatology.

Requirements:

  • Valid state medical license and certification as a Physician Assistant, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in dermatology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional time-management abilities
  • Excellent typing skills and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems,
  • Outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly manner
  • Passion for medical dermatology and a deep dedication
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high patient volume, anticipated to be 20-30+ patients per day, while maintaining the highest quality of care.
  • Willingness to perform a wide range of procedures, including bacterial/viral/fungal cultures, biopsies (shave, punch, excisional), complete skin exams, cryosurgery, dermoscopy, electrodesiccation and curettage, I&D, intralesional and intramuscular injections, as well as Wood's lamp evaluation.
  • Adept at collaborating with the healthcare team, actively participating in team meetings and educational sessions to stay informed about the latest advancements in the field and provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Flexibility to work both full-time and part-time schedules, depending on the practice's needs, showcasing adaptability and dedication to patient care.
  • Passion for continuous learning and professional growth, with a willingness to pursue additional certifications or specialized training, such as Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT).
  • Strong dedication to ethical and professional standards

Salary:

$100,000 - $200,000 per year
