Full-time/Part-time Dermatology Physician Assistants Needed at DermAesthetics Wellness in Elgin, IL

Our Dermatology Practice is seeking a Physician Assistant with experience in Dermatology. We are compassionate, professional, agile, and supportive.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, performing medical procedures, and assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask and have a passion for helping patients.

Job Summary

Evaluate and treat patients of all ages with a variety of dermatologic conditions and problems within a high-volume specialty practice.

  • Screen patients to determine the need for medical attention
  • Evaluate patients’ conditions and perform comprehensive physical examinations
  • Review patient records to determine health status
  • Take adequate and appropriate patient medical histories
  • Accurately record pertinent patient data
  • Appropriately manage and treat patients' medical conditions
  • Order diagnostic studies to aid in the diagnosis and management of the patient’s care.
  • Collect specimens for and carry out commonly performed skin analyses and cultures
  • Identify normal and abnormal findings on history, physical examination, and commonly performed laboratory findings
  • Build relationships with patients that promote long-term, repeat business

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Follow established billing and coding rules and properly code and bill for all services performed
  • Document timely medical records as appropriate
  • Use patient consent forms according to the established office policy
  • Attend provider meetings and scheduled in-service programs
  • Positively and professionally promote practice through all actions and communications
  • Participate in promotional events to build a practice, such as health fairs, community awareness, and educational seminar
  • Comply with all laws applicable to dermatology and the practice of medicine
  • Comply with Universal Precautions and OSHA
  • Comply with HIPAA and company policies and procedures to maintain confidentiality and content of each record
  • Perform any and all other duties as required to provide optimal client care

Salary:

$80,000 - $150,000
