Full-time/Part-time Dermatology Physician Assistants Wanted at Glowing Diamond Dermatology Experts in Arlington, TX

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and outgoing individual to join an established dermatology practice.

Under the direction of the Physician, apply and modify the principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide comprehensive dermatological services. Diagnose and treat a variety of skin diseases. Work closely with Administrator to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care. Cooperate with management to ensure the accomplishment of all center objectives. Participate in center growth plans.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams, and identifies normal and abnormal findings.
  • Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develops pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans.
  • Monitors effectiveness of plan of care.
  • Educates patients on conditions and treatment plans.
  • Performs procedures as trained and appropriately privileged.
  • Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents.
  • Collaborates and/or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Educates, counsels, and assists patients and families regarding current health problems, health maintenance activities and preventive behaviors.
  • Assist in meeting payer performance measures.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a diploma from an accredited Physician Assistant Program. Requires a certification as a Physician Assistant in the state and current CPR certification. Must hold valid license.
  • Minimum 1 year in interactive clinical care setting as a Physician’s Assistant.
  • Must know to use standard office equipment, including computer.

Work Environment: Combination of office, exam rooms, and classrooms. May be exposed to communicable diseases and other conditions common to clinic setting.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Various activities including sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. Must be able to stand two to four hours during educational sessions. Occasionally required to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Low level of stress.
