Full-Time Physician Assistants Needed at Genial General Hospital in Plano, TX.

Our primary focus is to manage critically injured patients, conduct thorough initial assessments and efficiently coordinate care with the team. A Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in managing critically injured patients, conducting comprehensive initial assessments, and collaborating closely with the supervising physicians and staff to deliver timely and life-saving care.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 5:00 pm shift
Responsibilities:

Responding to trauma alerts and promptly assessing patients' conditions.

Stabilizing patients and providing immediate care to prevent further deterioration.

Assisting in resuscitation efforts and providing life-saving interventions during emergencies.

Assisting in the coordination of inter-professional care for trauma patients.

Conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic results.

Administering medications and treatments prescribed by physicians.

Assisting with invasive procedures and wound management.

Providing education to patients and families about trauma care and recovery.

Assisting in the transfer of trauma patients to appropriate units or facilities.

Monitoring and managing patients' pain and discomfort.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Following infection control and safety protocols in trauma care settings.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, followed by completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

State licensed as a Physician Assistant.

Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Previous experience in emergency medicine or trauma care.

Knowledge of trauma assessment and stabilization protocols.

Ability to perform trauma-related procedures under supervision.

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in trauma evaluation.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Capacity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic trauma environment.

Proficiency in documenting patient care and treatment plans.

Familiarity with trauma-specific medications and interventions.

Understanding of infection control practices in trauma settings.

Salary:
$140,000-$180,000 per year (based on experience) + Full Benefits
