Full-time Physician Assistant Needed at Family First Medical Center

Must have interest in assisting with the treatment of patients with chronic pain. Provider will work under supervision of two board certified pain management specialists. The candidate should possess the following qualities and skills: good bedside manner, an empathic and cooperative disposition, good clinical skills and fund of knowledge.

Salary

$120,000 - $140,000

Responsibilities

  • Provider will work under supervision of two board certified pain management specialists
  • Assessment of patients with different types of pain by performing interviews, physical examination and documentation of patients' services on the electronic medical record
  • Order appropriate necessary lab work, imaging studies and consultations to help with the diagnosis and treatment of patient with the attending physician as indicated
  • Assists the attending staff in the collection of data to determine the effectiveness of the treatment offered at the pain management clinic in order to improve the quality of care
  • Discusses and explains to patients, results of diagnostic tests ordered and the goals of the treatment plan
  • Refills non controlled pain medications and provides continuity of care

Qualifications

  • State licensed as Physician Assistant
  • Two to five years of professional clinical experience
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer Literate - Windows environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to perform essential duties as assigned
  • Ability to clearly communicate written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
  • Ability to negotiate and monitor others
  • Must be approachable, compassionate and have superior listening skills
