Full-time Physician Assistant Needed at Small Steps Developmental Services

We provide effective and equitable value-based Urgent care to adults on Medicare to keep them happy, healthy, and out of the hospital. Our Physician Assistant see patients independently and collaborate with physicians, depending on the patient's specific situation, provide longitudinal care, and build meaningful patient relationships; this creates trust and helps our patients understand and feel connected to their care plan.

You will practice in our outpatient practices on a collaborative care team composed of a physician, Physician Assistant, medical assistants, a dedicated medical scribe, and support from registered PA and care managers. We partner with a network of elite specialists and hospitals for specialty and acute care. As such, our healthcare providers can focus on care within the clinic: Urgent care, care coordination, and population health.

We provide personalized Urgent care for older adults on Medicare, with the goal of keeping patients healthy and living life to the fullest. Our innovative care model is centered right in our patient's communities and focused on the quality of care over the volume of services. We're an organization on the move!

• Monday- Friday
• 8 Hours
• On-Call Saturday

SALARY:

$140,000-$180,000 per year (based on experience) + Full Benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments and medical histories to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and integrated care to patients of all ages.
• Performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing appropriate treatment plans based on patients' individual needs.
• Administering vaccinations and medications, as well as educating patients on preventive health measures and lifestyle modifications.
• Monitoring and managing chronic conditions and coordinating appropriate referrals for specialty care when necessary.
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters using the EPIC EMR system.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying updated with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
• Emphasizing preventive care measures to enhance patient wellness and quality of life.
• Providing compassionate and patient-centered care while building strong relationships with patients and their families.
• Adhering to all ethical and legal standards in medical practice and maintaining patient confidentiality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• PA Certification and state license required
• At least 1 year experience as a Physician Assistant
• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant
• 1 Year as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
• PA - Physician Assistant (Upon Hire, Required)
• Active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment, and decision-making.
