Full-Time Physician Assistant – Urgent Care

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Thursday: 9 AM-7 PM

Compensation:$120,000-$150,000 per year + benefits

We are seeking highly skilled Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting where your skills will make a significant impact every day.

As a Physician Assistant in our urgent care centers, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to a diverse patient population with a broad spectrum of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. You will work autonomously under the supervision of a board-certified physician, as well as collaboratively with a team of experienced healthcare professionals.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including respiratory infections, fractures, lacerations, and dermatologic issues

  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and lab work

  • Perform minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, abscess drainage, wound care)

  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state laws and medical protocols

  • Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive health measures, and follow-up care

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation via EMR systems

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care

  • Assist with triaging and managing patient flow in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut

  • NCCPA certification

  • BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or a similar high-acuity setting

  • DOT certification

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs)
