Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturdays: Rotational shifts with other team members, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Salary:

$180,000 to $220,000 per year.

Job Duties:

  • Identifying and treating musculoskeletal conditions of the lower leg and feet in both children and adults.
  • Addressing common lower extremity conditions, such as skin and nail infections, nail disorders, corns, calluses, bunions, cysts, and lower leg and foot wound management.
  • Performing biomechanical evaluations of the lower extremities to address abnormalities of lower extremity positioning and gait, with a focus on improving functional status. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to make and fit prosthetic appliances.
  • Utilizing local anesthetic techniques to perform procedures of the foot, ankle, and lower leg.
  • Interpreting historical and physical examination data to arrive at an accurate diagnosis.
  • Ordering laboratory and radiology studies when necessary for diagnostic and treatment considerations.
  • Documenting the history, examination, and plan of care in the medical record, ensuring comprehensive patient care and continuity.
  • Utilizing in-house patient care resources, when possible, prior to referring patients outside of our healthcare system.
  • Prescribing medication, corrective devices, physical therapy, and surgery as needed, and providing appropriate follow-up to assess treatment results.
  • Implementing activities to promote health and prevent disease in the routine care of patients.
  • Maintaining awareness of and supporting organizational policies and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from a school accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.
  • Completion of a podiatric medicine and surgery residency fully accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Podiatrist.
  • Board certification by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, or the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery is required.
  • Wound care certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and clinical care of foot problems is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Proficient in performing surgical procedures related to podiatry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and empower patients.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing patient well-being and satisfaction.
