Full-time Podiatrist Wanted for Solace Podiatry & Foot Care Center in Bowie, Maryland

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturdays: Rotational shifts with other team members, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Salary:

$180,000 to $220,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose and treat foot and ankle abnormalities and soft tissue abnormalities of the leg
  • Perform in-clinic minor surgical procedures such as matrixectomies, biopsies, excision of lesions
  • Provide wound care and wound debridement
  • Perform injections, strapping, and casting for custom orthotics
  • Prescribe orthotic and prosthetic devices
  • Perform diabetic foot exams and appropriate preventive care
  • Provide routine foot care services for at-risk patients
  • Willing to teach medical or nursing residents
  • Prescribe medication, including schedule II, III, IV, and V
  • Complete patient medical charting and billing information promptly

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from a school accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.
  • Completion of a podiatric medicine and surgery residency fully accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.
  • Valid state license to practice as a Podiatrist.
  • Board certification by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, or the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery is required.
  • Wound care certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management and clinical care of foot problems is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
  • Proficient in performing surgical procedures related to podiatry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate and empower patients.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, prioritizing patient well-being and satisfaction.
  • Strong commitment to professional growth and staying current with the latest advancements in podiatry.
