Full-time Podiatrist Wanted for Focus on Feet Podiatry Clinic in Murfreesboro, Tennessee

We are looking for a Podiatrist to diagnose and treat minor or serious injuries and diseases of the feet, ankles and the lower part of legs.

Podiatrist responsibilities include conducting foot and ankle surgeries, prescribing orthotics and applying therapeutic treatments for issues like arthritis, fractures and feet corn and calluses. To be considered for this role, you should have a doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine and practical experience in a clinic or hospital.

Ultimately, you will give our patients the best treatment based on their condition and help them recover as soon as possible.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Saturdays: Rotational shifts with other team members, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Salary:

$180,000 to $220,000 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform foot and ankle examinations and assess patients’ medical histories
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage injuries and diseases
  • Educate patients on best practices for foot health and preventive care
  • Prescribe medications and therapies to treat conditions
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, such as bunion repair, toenail removal, and hammertoe correction
  • Refer patients to other health care professionals as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document all treatments
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatments as needed
  • Ordering laboratory and radiology studies when necessary for diagnostic and treatment considerations.
  • Documenting the history, examination, and plan of care in the medical record, ensuring comprehensive patient care and continuity.
  • Utilizing in-house patient care resources, when possible, prior to referring patients outside of our healthcare system.
  • Prescribing medication, corrective devices, physical therapy, and surgery as needed, and providing appropriate follow-up to assess treatment results.
  • Implementing activities to promote health and prevent disease in the routine care of patients.
  • Maintaining awareness of and supporting organizational policies and goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Board certification with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine
  • Valid podiatrist license in the state of practice
  • Extensive knowledge of foot and ankle anatomy, physiology, and pathology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to maintain a high level of patient care and support
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
