Full-time Podiatrist Wanted for Stride Vista Podiatry Clinic in Buffalo, New York

We are looking to hire a skilled podiatrist to diagnose and treat minor and serious injuries or illnesses relating to the lower legs, feet, and ankles. As a podiatrist, you will be responsible for consulting with patients, applying therapeutic treatments, prescribing orthotics and medications, and conducting foot or ankle surgeries if necessary. You will also be responsible for advising on foot care and general therapy techniques.

To ensure success as a podiatrist, you should have extensive experience with podiatric medicine, excellent diagnostic skills, and advanced knowledge of modern surgical treatments. A skilled Podiatrist accurately diagnoses illnesses or injuries and provides patients with the best treatment for their condition.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Saturdays: Rotational shifts with other team members, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnose and assess patients’ conditions by reviewing medical histories, performing physical exams, and reviewing X-rays and medical laboratory tests.
  • Provide nonsurgical treatment for foot, ankle, and lower leg ailments, such as prescribing special shoe inserts (orthotics) to improve a patient’s mobility
  • Perform foot and ankle surgeries, such as removing bone spurs, repairing fractures, and correcting other foot and ankle problems
  • Advise and instruct patients about foot and ankle care and wellness
  • Prescribe medications
  • Refer patients to other physicians or specialists if they detect other health problems, such as diabetes or vascular disease
  • Conduct research, read journals, and attend conferences to keep up with advances in podiatric medicine and surgery

Requirements and skills

  • Experience as a Podiatrist
  • Valid state license to practice as a Podiatrist.
  • Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
  • Familiar with all types of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well both with children and the elderly
  • Empathy and patience when dealing with serious diseases
  • Up-to-date with the latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry
  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine

Salary:

$180,000 to $220,000 per year.
