Full-time/Part-time Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Wanted at Feelings Forward Counseling Center.

Feelings Forward Counseling Center is looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). This part-time, remote employment entails providing comprehensive, integrated, and specialized clinical care to our customers in order to improve mental health services and results. The primary responsibility of the function is to provide therapeutic interventions utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Somatic Based methods as suitable for our clients. Services are available in person as well as via Telehealth.

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours
  • Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Responsibilities:

- Holding first sessions to acquire detailed customer information.

- Assessing clients' emotional and mental health and developing treatment regimens customized to their specific need.

- Having meaningful interactions with clients, asking questions, and actively listening to assist them examine their thoughts and feelings.

- When clients are in distress, implementing emergency care procedures and protocols.

- Assisting clients with mental exercises and role-playing activities as needed for their improvement.

- Counseling and meaningful guidance to customers on matters that are important to them.

- Assisting with recommendations for additional treatment or services as needed.

- Ensuring thorough and confidential records are meticulously maintained.

Qualifications:

- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related subject is required.

- Current and unrestricted state licensing as a Professional Counselor (LPC).

- A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.

- It is extremely recommended to specialize in family therapy, couples therapy, substance abuse, or trauma.

- A thorough understanding of legal and ethical principles.

- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, allowing for rapport-building with a wide clientele.

- Proven ability to work effectively with a healthcare team.

- Knowledge of EMR software and associated technologies.
