A full-time Licensed Professional Counselor position is available at Great Lakes Psychology Clinic.

We are actively seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor to join our practice. In this position, you will interact with clients, assess their mental health, and develop a targeted therapy approach to address their specific difficulties. Individuals suffering from substance misuse, depression, anxiety, or eating disorders, among other illnesses, may be among your customers. We are looking for a candidate with a master's degree in psychology or social work, as well as a state-issued license. This role necessitates clinical experience.

Work Schedule:

  • Full Time
  • 8 am to 5 pm; Monday to Friday
  • No Evenings or Weekends

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage a workload of clients while maintaining ethical standards and building positive relations.

- Hold regular client meetings to monitor progress, stability, future appointments, and appropriate discharge planning as needed.

- In conjunction with clients, develop, administer, and supervise person-centered treatment programs.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork for each customer, including progress notes.

- Conduct intake evaluations to collect important information.

- Provide a set number of individual sessions each week.

- Participate actively in individual supervision sessions for professional development.

- Effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve complete client care.

Requirements and Qualifications

- A master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related subject is required.

- Hold an unrestricted, independent, current, and active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.

- After graduation, demonstrate at least one year of clinical experience in a clinical outpatient environment.

- Demonstrate good critical thinking, communication, and active listening skills, which are essential for providing successful client care.
