Now Hiring: Psychoanalyst

Location: Lancaster, New York (Onsite Outpatient Clinic)
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Competitive Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday (9AM-5PM)

We are seeking an experienced Psychoanalyst to join our outpatient clinic in New York. In this role, you will provide intensive, insight-oriented therapy to help clients explore unconscious patterns, resolve inner conflicts, and achieve long-term emotional growth

Job Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth psychoanalytic assessments to understand unconscious factors influencing emotional and behavioral patterns.
  • Provide long-term psychoanalytic therapy for individuals and couples, utilizing techniques such as free association, dream analysis, and transference exploration.
  • Offer crisis intervention and emotional support as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to coordinate client care.
  • Maintain detailed, confidential, and compliant documentation in line with New York state regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing case reviews, clinical supervision, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Active New York Psychoanalyst license (or certification from an accredited psychoanalytic institute), in good standing.
  • Doctoral or Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Completion of a recognized psychoanalytic training program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in psychoanalytic practice.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus.
