Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Licensed Psychologist (PsyD) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled, compassionate, and experienced professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families in a supportive, collaborative outpatient setting.
As a Licensed Psychologist (PsyD), you will provide expert psychological evaluation, assessment, and therapy services to individuals, couples, and families. The Role:
- Psychological Evaluations and Assessments: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral evaluations, to diagnose and treat a wide range of psychological conditions.
- Individual and Family Therapy: Provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families using evidence-based techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on thorough assessments, client goals, and therapeutic best practices.
- Crisis Intervention: Offer immediate support and intervention for clients in crisis situations, ensuring safety and providing stabilization.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals (LCSWs, LPCs, psychiatrists) to ensure holistic care for clients, including providing referrals and recommendations as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with clinic policies, ethical standards, and state regulation
- Supervision and Mentorship: Provide supervision and mentorship to clinical interns or less experienced staff members, if desired.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and ethical practices in psychology, participating in continuing education and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctoral degree (PsyD or PhD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid, unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist (PsyD) in the state of Georgia.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience providing psychological assessments and therapy in an outpatient or clinical setting preferred.
- Specializations: Experience with adult, adolescent, or family therapy, as well as expertise in particular psychological conditions (e.g., trauma, depression, anxiety) is a plus.
- Assessment Skills: Strong diagnostic and psychological assessment skills, with the ability to administer and interpret standardized psychological tests.
- Therapeutic Expertise: Proficiency in evidence-based therapy approaches and a flexible, integrative approach to treatment.
- Commitment to Ethical Practice: Adherence to ethical guidelines, professional standards, and confidentiality laws.
- Cultural Competence: Ability to provide culturally sensitive care and respect for diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
- Technology: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telehealth platforms.
