Job Title: Radiologic Technologist – Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA)
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000 per year + benefits
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a key role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and other radiographic exams, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the images you capture are of high quality and aid in accurate diagnosis. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Job Duties:
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images of specific areas of the body
- Position patients accurately and ensure safety throughout each procedure
- Follow established protocols for radiation protection and infection control
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal outcomes
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
- Monitor equipment functionality and assist with quality control procedures
- Provide clear explanations and emotional support to patients undergoing imaging exams
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in California.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (ACLS preferred for trauma/emergency settings)
- Proficiency in digital imaging equipment and PACS systems
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital or urgent care environment
