Job Title: Radiologic Technologist – Hospital Setting (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000 per year + benefits

We’re seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist to join our hospital’s imaging team. This is an opportunity to thrive in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment where your contributions make a direct impact on patient outcomes every single day.

Job Duties:

  • Diagnostic Imaging: Perform general radiographic procedures (X-rays) including chest, abdominal, skeletal, fluoroscopic, and portable exams as ordered by physicians.
  • Patient Preparation & Positioning: Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, ensuring safety and comfort, and correctly positioning the patient for optimal image capture.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, and maintain a variety of imaging equipment including digital radiography systems. Ensure machines are functioning safely and effectively.
  • Radiation Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles and hospital safety policies to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper imaging protocols and timely communication of results.
  • Image Quality Assurance: Review and evaluate images for technical accuracy and completeness before submitting them for interpretation. Retake images as needed for clarity and diagnostic value.
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR): Accurately document procedures and maintain patient information using hospital EHR and PACS systems.
  • Infection Control & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and sterile environment in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • On-Call Support (if applicable): Provide emergency imaging services on nights/weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R).
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Prior hospital or clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interaction.
  • Strong understanding of radiologic safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Critical thinking and adaptability to changing clinical needs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital or urgent care environment
