SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position with a flexible weekly schedule, offering options for part-time and PRN positions to accommodate a variety of work preferences and personal needs.

Objectives of this role

  • Deliver a high standard of medical care according to the specific orders of each patient’s physician
  • Work alongside staff members as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team
  • Follow a model of care that supports the wellness of our patients and staff
  • Serve as a primary source of medical information for patients and caregivers
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment of care for patients and their families

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and monitor patients’ health conditions
  • Administer medications and provide treatment according to physician’s orders
  • Provide health education, medication review, healthcare coordination, and specialist referrals
  • Monitor blood pressure and chronic conditions
  • Ensure that all treatments and medications are fully documented in patients’ health records

Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of science degree (or equivalent) in nursing
  • Licensure as a registered nursewith the state of practice
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification
  • Specialized certifications relevant to your healthcare organization's needs, such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications.
  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, the ability to analyze complex situations, and make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in performing nursing procedures, administering medications, using medical equipment, and utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Communication skills, including effective written and verbal communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Prioritize patient-centered care, showing empathy, compassion, and the ability to advocate for patients' needs and preferences.
