Full Time Registered Nurse Needed In Montefiore Consultation and Counseling Center

We are seeking a Registered Nurse under the management of the Chief Registered Nurse the RN will work collaboratively with Physicians, NP peers, Registered Nurses, other members of the multidisciplinary care team, and administrative support staff.

Registered Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing healthcare team. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients. With each patient, you will take vital signs, discuss their symptoms, document their health history, administer medications, and provide resources and information on how to manage their medical issues at home. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses and injuries as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude.

Registered Nurse Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient vitals; detect changes in symptoms, health, and/or pain
  • Administer medication
  • Set up for procedures with appropriate tools; maintain a full inventory of supplies
  • Assist doctors with procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Communicate clearly and directly with patients; provide emotional support to patients and family members under stress
  • Fill out and update patient documents and charts








Registered Nurse Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Valid state nursing license
  • Experience as a nurse in a hospital or other health care setting
  • Understanding of standard medical practices and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and great bedside manner
  • Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends
