Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flexible Scheduling Available)
Salary: $65,000 to $85,000 a year plus benefits
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in California. In this full-time role, you will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders and respiratory illnesses. You will collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized respiratory care plans that enhance patient health and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, including evaluating lung capacity and conducting diagnostic tests.
- Administer respiratory treatments, such as oxygen therapy, nebulization, and chest physiotherapy.
- Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide patient education on breathing techniques, inhaler use, and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Active and unrestricted license in New York.
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience in outpatient, hospital, or critical care settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
