Our educational institution is actively searching for a committed LCSW to become an integral part of our School Mental Health Team. Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Occasional evening shifts may be required based on the operational needs of the school.
  • Rotating weekends may be scheduled to ensure comprehensive coverage for student mental health services.
  • Some on-call availability may be necessary to respond to urgent mental health situations.

Salary:

$80,000 to $100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complete mental health examinations for pupils, taking their personal history, current issues, and risk factors into account.
  • Collaborate with children to create and carry out personalized treatment plans that address mental health concerns, promote emotional well-being, and facilitate effective integration into the school community.
  • To treat a wide range of mental health difficulties, employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions with the goal of encouraging personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of appropriate coping techniques.
  • Collaboration with other mental health experts, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners, is essential to ensuring a comprehensive approach to therapy and streamlining care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and mental health help.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degreein Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a mental health or educational setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care.
  • Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and formulating appropriate treatment plans.
  • Experience in delivering individual and group therapy, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines.
