Looking for a Fulltime Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Meridian Health Behavioral Services in San Antonio, TX
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The LCSW will provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The successful candidate will manage and maintain caseloads of clients with a variety of mental health disorders. The LCSW will provide psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation services to assist clients in achieving their goals.
Work Schedule
- 9am to 6pm
- Monday to Friday
- No Evenings or Weekends
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assessment of mental health needs, treatment planning, coordination and implementation of behavioral health services for patients.
- Has thorough knowledge of current trends in local, state and federal programs in the behavioral healthcare field.
- This position is a member of the multidisciplinary, primary care team and communicates and interacts with all levels of staff, primary care providers and health center patients.
- Responsible for the adherence and maintenance of Mental Health policies and procedures for the behavioral health program.
- Evaluates and assesses (provides intakes) for patients in a timely and courteous manner.
- Performs counseling and crisis intervention as necessary.
- Refers patients with serious mental health conditions necessitating inpatient or specialty care to appropriate institution or agency outside of AHSFHC.
- Refer patients to MAT services.
- Responsible to screen patients for prescription drug abuse, illicit drug abuse and alcohol abuse - Provide counseling to patients who screen positive or refer them to appropriate resources available in the service area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- LCSW with a Master’s degree of Counseling and Social work from an accredited school required.
- Current license to practice as LCSW.
- Demonstrates excellent clinical skills
- Evidence of mature judgment and crisis intervention skills.
- Ability to effectively present information both orally and written, to administration.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Computer literacy is required and ability to process patient records electronically.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse team.
