Job description

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, this is your chance to be part of an organization that provides psychosocial assessments, support, short-term counseling and social work services to cancer patients and their loved ones and prioritizes the psychological and psychiatric well-being of individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
  • Meets with patients and their loved ones for psychosocial needs assessment and examines social support, appropriate community resources and coping mechanisms.
  • Provides crisis intervention/short-term counseling to patients and families in periods of acute distress.
  • Provides supportive counseling from the period of initial impact through the progress of the illness to minimize patient/family stress.
  • Provides support to clinic patients and their loved ones during hospitalizations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid LCSW license in the state.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in this field
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team

Salary:

$90,000 to $100,000 a year.
