Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Full-Time Opportunity in Los Angeles, California
Are you a licensed mental health therapist (LCSW) seeking a rewarding opportunity to provide top-notch mental health care? In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment, psycho-diagnosis, treatment planning, group treatment, individual treatment, family treatment, and discharge planning
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 per year + benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Completes psychosocial evaluations on assigned patients promptly. Displays good interviewing, diagnostic, and report-writing skills
- Conducts therapies by patient diagnosis and needs
- Provides efficient discharge planning throughout the treatment process
- Completes progress notes and assessments according to program procedures
- Completes individualized treatment plans for each patient
- Conducts individual psychotherapy sessions by state/regulatory standards, displaying good theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and good treatment techniques
- Conducts family therapy sessions under state/regulatory standards, displaying good theoretical knowledge of family therapy principles and good treatment techniques
- Conducts group therapy sessions per state/regulatory standards, displaying good theoretical knowledge of group therapy principles and good group therapy techniques
- Engages in timely, efficient discharge planning. Works in close conjunction with patient, family, nursing staff, and attending physician. Shows good knowledge of the referral/placement process and available community resources
Requirements:
- Completion of a master's degree program from an accredited school of social work, approved by the Council on Social Work Education
- Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science
- Strong diagnostic and assessment skills, with the ability to identify and treat a wide range of mental health disorders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ethical standards, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client care
