Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Outpatient Mental Health Clinic

Location: Riverhead, New York
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 + Benefits

About The Job

We are currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Whether you're an experienced therapist or newer to clinical practice and eager to grow, this role offers a supportive environment where your skills, voice, and passion for helping others truly matter.

As an LCSW in our practice, you will provide psychotherapy, assessments, and ongoing support to a diverse caseload. You’ll work collaboratively with other clinicians while maintaining autonomy in your clinical decision-making.

Who Are You:

  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans
  • Provide short-term and long-term psychotherapy for individuals, families, or groups
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and fellow therapists for coordinated care
  • Attend supervision, team case consultations, and staff meetings as needed
  • Advocate for client needs and connect them to additional resources when appropriate
  • Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards of clinical social work

What You’ll Do:

  • Current LCSW license in New York State (required)
  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • At least 1 year of post-licensure clinical experience preferred (newly licensed LCSWs welcome)
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusivity in mental health care
  • Experience working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, immigrant, and/or underserved populations strongly valued
