Description

Unity Care NW is seeking a full-time psychotherapist to join a large Primary Care Behavioral Health team serving patients throughout Seattle, Washington. This is an in-clinic role at either a primary care or pediatric clinic providing care to patients both in person and virtually. Clinicians are integrated as a part of the medical team supporting patients through brief, targeted behavioral interventions around mental health and management of chronic health conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective and efficient clinical services to eligible children and families in the community using best practice standards, including evidence-based treatment models. CANS certification is required within two months of hire.
  • Collaborate with schools, social service agencies, and other providers to ensure continuity and quality of care. Build teams utilizing natural supports to support the families in WISe.
  • Assist clients with resources and education to support their autonomy and basic needs.
  • Monitor assigned clients for LRA compliance. Facilitate LRA extensions with the CRT and all court-involved personnel to ensure LRA's are continued uninterrupted, as appropriate. Assist CRT in determining when revocation is appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Specialized knowledge, training &/or experience in the principles of integrating behavioral health assessment and treatment in the primary care setting (we will provide training if you don’t have this)
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare & private insurance plans & related insurance knowledge
  • Demonstrated success working with and relating to individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds & socio-economic levels, treating them with sensitivity & respect
  • Experience working with unhoused populations and knowledge of the issues and challenges they face as well as the resources that may assist them
