Full-time Speech Language Pathologist in La Grande, Oregon

We are seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our outpatient clinic in Oregon. In this full-time role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Through personalized therapy plans, you will help patients enhance their communication skills and overall quality of life.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + benefits

Patient Volume: 7 patients a day or 35 patient visits a week

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing evaluations to determine patient needs.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for articulation, voice modulation, and language comprehension.
  • Deliver swallowing therapy and assist with feeding interventions for patients with dysphagia.
  • Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home-based exercises.
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and caregivers to deliver coordinated care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active SLP license in Oregon.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an outpatient or clinical setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in speech, language, voice, and swallowing therapy techniques.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and patient advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
