Speech-Language Pathologist – Help Residents Find Their Voice Again
A role is open for a Speech-Language Pathologist who’s ready to make a real impact in an Assisted Living Facility in Newport, Oregon. You'll work directly with residents to improve communication and swallowing functions, helping them regain confidence and independence in a welcoming environment.
Details to Know:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Caseload: Around 7 residents daily (35/week)
- Salary Range: $75,000–$85,000 annually
- Employment Type: Full-Time
What You'll Be Doing:
- Performing assessments for speech, language, and swallowing challenges
- Creating care plans that reflect clinical needs and goals
- Collaborating with other professionals to support residents' overall progress
- Offering guidance to family members and staff on communication techniques
- Maintaining treatment records and updating progress regularly
- Staying in compliance with all regulations and clinical standards
Ideal Background:
- Master's or Doctorate in SLP from an accredited institution
- Oregon SLP license (active)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience—geriatric experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills
