Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Outpatient Setting (Nevada)

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year

Location: Reno, Nevada

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic outpatient rehabilitation team. In this role, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their overall communication abilities.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the nature and extent of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.​
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address speech, language, voice, and swallowing challenges.​
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to patients, using a variety of techniques, including exercises, communication strategies, augmentative communication devices, and swallowing therapy interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies to promote recovery and prevent future issues.
  • Educate patients and their families on communication techniques, swallowing strategies, and home exercises to promote continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes according to regulatory and organizational guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Connecticut.​
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an SLP, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting. New graduates with strong clinical internship experience will also be considered.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with a patient-centered approach.
  • Compassionate, patient, and motivated to help others achieve their communication and swallowing goals. Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to individual patient needs.
